Door Dash - Summer of Dash Pass

For social we went above and beyond.

Typically we craft our social media spots by cropping into the made for TV 16x9 frame. This can be limning and force you to loose valuable story telling elements on the edges of the frame. However, for this project, the production team captured a frame above and below the standard 16x9 frame by tilting the camera up, then tilting the camera down at the wrap of each set up. They captured clean images of the elements outside the typical frame.

This allowed us to expand the frame in post which makes the content feel as though it was captured specifically for social media. It also leaves a lot more room for things like subtitles, logos, and CTAs in an already crowded social media environment.

Check out the final social media spot with the extra elements comped in.

Naturally filling the space with the elements from the scene helps the social spot live in the hands of viewers on platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels more naturally.

Bringing Door Dash's national campaign online

meant AltTimelines was the last team in the pipeline to touch the spot before it aired. This required astute attention to detail, a streamlined organizational process, and constant communication about the Color, Sound, VFX and all the technical specifications for delivery.

After the final edit, sound mix, and color grade AltTimeliens assembles the spots then begins work with the creative team to ensure branding is handled with the upmost care. We add logos animate graphics and handle any last minute touch ups before formatting.

The spot is processed and compressed surround sound mixes are applied to broadcast spots, and web formats receive special audio passes that work best on computer and phone speakers.

AltTimelines listens and watches carefully to each version produced before we ship.
